Full Production (1 hour)

Parade was an extraordinary event which happened in 1917, during the time of the Russian Revolution. The original 1917 Parade was a Ballet - but a totally radical one which marked the birth of surrealism and modernism, and revolutionised the very idea of what ballet was and who it was for.

It was so controversial at the time and people didn’t know how to handle it.

One hundred years on, history sees Parade as it was intended to be seen – risky, ambitious, rebellious, and truly revolutionary. This was a different kind of ballet and was a vibrant, unpredictable, glorious event for everyone to enjoy.

What we’ve done with P.A.R.A.D.E. here in 2017 is make turn the original version on it’s head and make it a radical and relevant version for now.
