NDCWales Presents

LETS MOVE National Summer School

12-14 August

ages 8 -18

LETS MOVE! Is a National Summer School for dancers aged 8-17

Six of the UK’s leading dance organisations (including us!) have got together to bring you a Summer School that wouldn’t have been possible before.

From 12-14 Aug

Workshops from NDCWales, The Place London, DanceEast, DanceXChange, Pavilion Dance South West and Phoenix Dance Theatre!

An opportunity like no other.

National Dance Company Wales, Let’s Move workshops will be based on their high energy Rugby inspired dance piece “Annwyl i Mi” which you can watch for free, and in full on their YouTube channel.

Rygbi: Annwyl i Mi / Dear to Me was created in by choreographer and previous NDCWales Artistic Director Fearghus Ó Conchúir and has toured nationally and internationally including being taken to Japan alongside the rugby world cup!

The movement is uplifting: it’s inspired no only by the sport but by it’s hope, glory and camaraderie. It celebrates the pride and passion that rugby players and fans experience together. Workshop participants will gain an insight into the process of creating a new piece of dance and be able to interpret the work of our professional dancers themselves. You will never watch a Rugby match in the same way again!
