Statement on Arts Council of Wales’ Investment Review Outcome

This week we heard that the Arts Council of Wales is offering NDCWales a ‘standstill’ grant from 2024. Thank you to the Arts Council for their continued funding, for which we’re very grateful. We understand the pressure on public funds so this represents a major investment in the future. We will continue to deliver brilliant dance performance and participation opportunities with the people of Wales. 

As a national company, we look forward to engaging actively in the Arts Council’s review of the dance sector. We know how interconnected we all are, and we hope it can provide a forum for collective action and change. We welcome the additional investments in organisations that were made, and our thoughts are with those organisations who received reductions or were not funded.
