Alison Thorne

Chair

Alison grew up in Cardiff, developing a career in retail with a number of large companies including Asda, Lego, B&Q and Mothercare in buying and merchandising roles to Executive Director. She now has her own company called atconnect, which is a people development company and she is the Wales lead for ‘Women on Boards’. 

Her current non-Exec roles include governor of Cardiff Metropolitan University, member of the Sport Wales board, independent panel member for Public Appointments for Welsh Government, and she was formerly Chair of Chwarae Teg. 

Cathryn Allen

Cath is Director of Creating Answers, specialising in helping individuals, teams and organisations achieve clarity, confidence and creativity in striving to be the best leaders they can be.

She is a trained EMCC coaching practitioner and designs and delivers workshops in leadership, teamwork and communication.  Based in Cardiff, Cath works across the UK in both English and Welsh.

Giovanni Basileti

Giovanni is a Solicitor specialising in construction and engineering law. He is experienced in dealing with contentious and non-contentious construction matters across all sectors and has a keen interest in energy infrastructure projects. Originally from Gibraltar, he is a native Spanish speaker.

Huw Davies

Huw is a qualified accountant who spent several years working in retailing, construction and the hotel and leisure sectors before making a conscious decision to work in the not for profit sector.

Since then he has spent the last 20 years in senior finance roles for a number of UK charities. Having previously worked in both social care and animal welfare charities he is currently Director of Finance for a large national arts organisation.

Krystal S. Lowe

Krystal S. Lowe is a Bermuda-born, Wales-based dancer, choreographer, writer, and director creating dance theatre works for stage, public space, and film that explore themes of intersectional identity, mental health and wellbeing, and empowerment to challenge herself and audiences toward introspection and social change.

Tupac Martir

Tupac Martir is an Artist and Founder of Satore Studio. He’s a multimedia artist whose work spans the fields of technology, lighting, projection and video, sound design, music, and composition, as well as choreography and costumes. Vogue has described him as ‘the visual designer and creative director behind some of the most important events in the world’.

William James

William was Producer at Theatr Clwyd leading the Producing and Programming team until 2021. At Clwyd, he programmed NDCWales for many years - he's a big fan. Before this, and among other places, he has worked at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the West Yorkshire Playhouse and at Intelfax, subtitling Channel 4 programmes for Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences. He was educated at the University of Wales, Cardiff.
