Rachel Gittins Dance Ambassador - Newtown Rachel is an independent dance artist based in Wrexham, North Wales, and since graduating from Edge Hill University in 2017 has developed a career of performing, facilitating and photography. For 2 years Rachel was a professional dancer for Lisa Simpson Inclusive Dance and the Lancashire tour of Migratory, as well as being a freelance performer for Company Chameleon within Illuminate (2017) and The Shadow (2019). Rachel has a passion for teaching, particularly using dance as an aid for mental and physical health development and has taken dance into mental health units, prisons, vulnerable youth groups, and for the elderly and isolated. Rachel frequently workshops in schools and universities and is eager to engage the younger generation with contemporary dance and theatre.
