Engagement Artists

NDCWales works with a number of Priority Venues.

Priority Venues have a sustained and committed partnership with NDCWales, using their combined expertise to build and retain audiences for dance for that area.
Each Priority Venue also has a Dance Ambassador who is local to the venue, knows the company’s repertoire and has received specialist training. Their role is to support the public to access the work of NDCWales and keep year-round contact with its communities Wales wide.

Delivery is informed by the dance already happening in the  areas. This model encourages new audiences and participants, helping to engage more people in a range of dance, sustaining the dance sector in Wales as more people engage with the artform.
