A veteran broadcaster, Jane brings with her a wealth of experience from the creative industries. Over the past 20 years she has held a sequence of board level leadership roles at ITV and the BBC, and has worked extensively with the independent creative sector.
Gary works as a curator and creative producer. He is co-founder and associate director of Animate Projects, an internationally renowned agency championing experimental animation. He also works in the film team at the British Council, leading on animation and digital work, and overseeing film activities in East Asia and China
Giovanni is a Trainee Solicitor at Blake Morgan in Cardiff and has experience in a wide variety of legal disciplines. He is currently working in a specialist construction and infrastructure team and has developed a keen interest in this sector. Originally from Gibraltar, he is a native Spanish speaker.
Giovanni was appointed to the Board through his participation in the Arts and Business Cymru Young Professionals on Boards scheme.
Huw is a qualified accountant who spent several years working in retailing, construction and the hotel and leisure sectors before making a conscious decision to work in the not for profit sector.
Since then he has spent the last 20 years in senior finance roles for a number of UK charities. Having previously worked in both social care and animal welfare charities he is currently Director of Finance for a large national arts organisation.
Matthew is a Senior Lecturer, and Course Leader (BA Hons Dance) at the University of South Wales. A graduate of Bird College, and the University of Limerick, he has performed and choreographed internationally in the areas of Contemporary dance, Musical Theatre and Improvisation.
Susan is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Susan has worked in private, public and charity organisations, and is an experienced Director and senior leader. Susan is currently Director of Finance and Company Secretary at Techniquest and Chair of CIMA’s Charity Finance Focus Group responsible for providing charity finance training.
William James is currently Producer at Theatr Clwyd where he heads the Producing and Programming team. At Clwyd, he has programmed NDCWales for many years - he's a big fan. Before this, and among other places, he has worked at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the West Yorkshire Playhouse and at Intelfax, subtitling Channel 4 programmes for Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences. He was educated at the University of Wales, Cardiff.
